A vibrant corridor with a diverse range of people: families, seniors, children, students, workers, shoppers, and tourists. For surrounding land use, the street supports an extremely high density of both historic buildings and newer developments. It's home to playgrounds schools, light industry, retail, entertainment, and several service providers and care facilities. The Project was to Study to evaluate street safety and make a comprehensive guide. To increase safety and comfort in the area, the SFMTA is proposing a range of bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements along the corridor and some side streets. The Project was started in February 2015 and Completed in September 2016.
