54 acres land was available with PHATA at Chiniot and 95 Acre land is to be acquired by the private party adjacent to ADS -II Chiniot. There was plan to build 1,000/- affordable housing units at Chiniot for lower- and middle-income group of the population and 1,800/- affordable housing units at the land to be acquired by private party adjacent to ADS-II Chiniot. PHATA is intends to explore the feasibility of this project as a public private partnership (PPP) in terms of Public Private Partnership Act, 2014. The Public Private Partnership Act, 2014 provides a detailed mechanism and timelines to process the PPP proposal.
PHATA, therefore, intended the services of M/s Sheher Saaz to assist it through the phases of the PPP project development and procurement.
- a) conduct essential due diligence;
- b) assess the feasibility of the proposed project;
- c) design bankable PPP structures with equitable allocation of risk between Government and private party;
- d) run the procurement process in an efficient and transparent manner;
- e) culminating in the timely award of the PPP Concession to the winning bidders.
