In order to address this situation, Local Government & Community Development Department has initiated the project titled “Master Plans / Landuse & Zoning Plans for Local Governments in Punjab (District Sahiwal)” to ensure District level integrated and long-term planning approach. The project envisages a District level zoning exercise for twenty-five (25) years, rather than short-term subject plans, in order to ensure an integrated and equitable spatial development of our urban areas. The project approach includes detailed land use zoning of the entire District, delineation of various site development zones at the sub-district level and the preparation of structure plans for the identified site development zones
