Scope of work: Environmental Impact Assessment for “New Peshawar Valley Project”.
Client: Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), Peshawar.
Location: Peshawar, Pakistan
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was conducted for New Peshawar Valley Project, comprising of 106,400 kanal (13300 acres) of area. The EIA study includes baseline Environmental profiling, consideration of alternatives, Preparation of compensations and resettlement action plans, identification of the environmental and social impacts of the construction, and operational phase of the purposed project activities. Necessary mitigation measures to mitigate the potential impacts have been considered to protect the current environmental conditions and to make all project activities green, Sustainable, and environmentally friendly. Mitigation and management of impacts on the social, ecological, and physical environment of the area have been considered. Public Consultations and Community involvement has also been considered for the Environmental Management and Monitoring plan for the future.
